What is being done?

Intentional ward rounds involving occupational therapists and physiotherapists working alongside nurses are being undertaken at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.

What is new and different?

Usually intentional rounding is seen as a nursing initiative, so the involvement of therapy staff is innovative.

What difference does this seem to be making?

Not yet evaluated but it appears that this strengthens multi-disciplinary teamwork and provides enhanced care for patients.
