This document sets out a number of ‘contract inserts’ which describe the specific requirements of people with dementia and their carers when using mainstream services.
These may be used by commissioners when drawing up their own statements of requirements for discussions for service redesign or in a procurement situation. They may be included in a subsequent contractual arrangement with a Provider.
The document also sets out a number of dementia specific quality standards which commissioners may use to measure the quality of services provided to people with dementia and their carers.
