The Department of Health has published the fourth annual report on progress in delivering the End of Life Care Strategy.
The fourth annual report (2012) confirms that:
- more people have been able to die in their place of choice (at home or in a care home)
- the national VOICES survey provides the first systematic account of how people actually experience care in the last three months of life
- the National End of Life Care Intelligence Network has transformed end of life care intelligence from something relying almost entirely on mortality data, into a wide range of themed reports and locality profiles.
