This document presents the Department of Health’s
revised implementation plan for ‘Living Well with Dementia – A
National Dementia Strategy’, published in February 2009. It
updates the previous implementation plan for the Strategy,
published in July 2009.
It sets out four priorities:
- good-quality early diagnosis and intervention for all;
- improved quality of care in general hospitals;
- living well with dementia in care homes; and
- reduced use of antipsychotic medication.
