Specialty Training Registrar (STR4) GP trainee

NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, with South West Peninsula Deanery have funded one Specialty Training Registrar (STR4) GP trainee to work with local general practices to develop understanding about, treatment and care for people living with dementia.

The aim of the Specialty Training Registrar (STR4) extension is to add value to the three year programme. Engaging in a project is the opportunity to undertake in depth work about a topic you have enthusiasm for. In the process you will develop a host of knowledge and skills to use in your future career. These will include those of the medical leadership competency framework and many beyond. A trainer will be appointed who will mentor you through the project and clinical work to gain the greatest benefit. In addition you will meet with other ST4s as an action learning set throughout the year.

The South West Peninsula Deanery is part of NHS South of England and is under the direction of the Postgraduate Dean, Professor Martin Beaman.
