Dementia Community at the Healthcare Innovation Expo

The third Healthcare Innovation Expo takes place at the ExCeL, London March 13-14th 2013 and for the first time, it will showcase a dementia friendly community.

The dementia friendly community at the NHS Expo will include a programme of events, speeches, seminars and activities that you will be able to get involved in. It will demonstrate solutions for people living with dementia in their home, on the high street, in health and social care and in their social lives. The community will be focused on a village green, where you will experience sports, art and music.

Led by the Department of Health and the Alzheimer’s Society, the community will provide an opportunity to explore and understand the solutions that can help to improve the lives of people living with dementia, in line with the Prime Minister’s Challenge on Dementia.

As well as offering a chance to meet with the most senior NHS leaders, commissioners and clinicians, delegates can also see some of the world’s most inspiring healthcare innovations, hear from national and international experts from a programme of over 100 seminars and four main speaker stages. Expo’s unique format will allow networking with delegates from across the NHS, industry, government, scientific and charity sectors.
