Yeovil District Hospital is looking for enthusiastic and caring volunteers to help support patients with dementia for a few hours each week.

Volunteers will receive special training to help them befriend the patients and support clinical staff in caring for more vulnerable patients who need assistance and encouragement with eating and drinking.

An information event will take place on Friday 18 November between 9am and 12pm in the Somerset Academy on Level 4 of the hospital. Anyone interested is welcome to drop in to find out more.
