The report ‘Support. Stay. Save. Care and support of people with dementia in their own homes‘, from the Alzheimer’s Society reveals that many people with dementia and carers receive insufficient support and care at home. Part of the Society’s ongoing putting care right campaign, Support. Stay. Save presents findings from over 2,400 people with dementia, carers and home care workers.
The report also found that the home care workers who responded regularly worked with people with dementia and understood that they could have a good quality of life. However, many reported they still needed more training on delivering good dementia care.
