Memory Bank is a reminiscence resource pack which uses archive films to stimulate memories of childhood, growing up, loved ones and family, sense of place, home and work life for people living with dementia.

The Memory Bank resource pack also contains a user guide, detailed notes and suggested discussion points that can be used informally in groups or as part of more structured reminiscence and life story work.

There are six titles in the series: Holidays, Schooldays, Working Life, Domestic Life, Sporting Fun, and Fetes, Fairs & Fireworks. Each pack costs just £29.99, and the full set of six can be purchased for £160.00 (inclusive of VAT) at www.memory-bank.org.

The project was developed by the Yorkshire Film Archive with support from the Dunhill Medical Trust, Screen Yorkshire and Screen Heritage UK Programme, and the expertise of a specialist Advisory Panel.

Memory Bank recently won the 2013 national award for ‘Outstanding Dementia Care Product or Innovation’ at the 4th National Dementia Care Awards 2013, as part of the annual UK Dementia Congress.
