Calling all knitters - go knit
Seasalt, a Cornwall family-run business, are asking knitters to knit to raise money for Memory Cafes across Devon and Cornwall.
Knitters can donate knitted or crocheted Christmas decorations which could range from baubles to bells, garlands to angels, crackers to snowflakes – in all manner of sizes, colours and yarns – the more creative the better, and the more the merrier! We’d like everyone to feel they can take part – from novice knitters through to life-long knitters, and all donated creations will be extremely welcome.
This year Seasalt have chosen to work with the Alzheimer’s Society to raise money for Memory Cafes across Devon and Cornwall.
Memory Cafes are where sufferers of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, and their carers, can go for support, stimulation and information. Many Memory Cafes have been set up and run by volunteers and are funded by the Alzheimer’s Society. Valuable support services, such as transport to and from the cafes, are vital and need extra funding.
Seasalt will sell the donated knitted decorations in their stores and online at our website www.seasaltcornwall.co.uk on a ‘lucky dip’ basis in the run-up to Christmas.
