An Alzheimer’s Society volunteer working in Great Western Hospital, Swindon, is providing advice to patients and carers on Jupiter Ward and signposting them to community resources. Read more »
Bracken ward in Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, has established a small activity room and volunteers have been recruited to work with people living with dementia attend the ward on a twice weekly basis to support patients in the activity room. Read more »
The hospital befriending scheme at the Royal United Hospital in Bath is an exciting volunteering activity led by the local Alzheimer’s Society which extends the existing befriending carried out in the community into a hospital setting. Read more »
