The aim of the portal is to enable users to easily access the content of the Current Awareness Service for Health database without needing to subscribe to it as a newsfeed. Users also have the option to subscribe to up to five of the newsfeeds as a daily email alert, including one for commissioning.

The Current Awareness Service for Health aims to keep health professionals up-to-date with new developments for the benefit of patient care and improved decision making. It is a collaborative service provided by librarians from around England who monitor and capture content from across 3 broad sectors – Primary Care, Secondary Care and Mental Health.
