King's Fund programme to focus on dementia care environments

The King’s Fund Enhancing the Healing Environment (EHE) programme will this year focus on dementia care environments. Ten trusts have been selected from the forty applications received.

The EHE programme encourages and enables nurse-led teams to work in partnership with patients to improve the environment in which they deliver care.

Launched by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2000, the programme initially focused on improving acute hospital environments, before being extended to mental health and primary care settings.

The programme has received widespread recognition as a national exemplar both in terms of the individual projects and for acting as a catalyst for the NHS to consider the impact of the environment on recovery and the way care is delivered.

I am very interested in the research work you are doing with Dementia Patients and the support you give dementia carers.

We are also working within the field of Dementia in consultation with University of Sterling, researchers and care home workers. We have developed a range of products that work and make a positive difference in the Dementia Care Home environment. Please visit our website http://www.dementia-signage.co.uk to view case studies and testimonials.

If you are interested in FIND and would like to arrange an appointment to discuss the research, range of equipment we produce and how we can work together to increase the independence of dementia patients , I can be contacted on mobile 07817757394.

    Best Regards,
